MHS Drama Club Receives Four Tommy Awards

Outstanding Orchestra, Marshfield High School Orchestra
Outstanding Leading Performance, Maisie Cramer
Outstanding Direction, Amanda Leurquin
Spirit Award, McKensey Koran
 

  
The Marshfield High School musical ‘Spamalot’ received 20 Tommy Award nominations for the show. These nominations include 11 student performers, 1 student stage manager, and Outstanding Musical, Ensemble, Orchestra and Direction. This is the second year MHS has participated in the Tommy Awards, coordinated by the Overture Center for the Arts in Madison, Wisconsin, with 82 participating high schools in the state. The Tommy Awards, named for local Broadway star Tom Wopat, recognize and honor excellence in high school musical theater.
 
 
Specific nominations include Outstanding Lead Performance: Maisie Cramer (Lady of the Lake), Tyler Meyer (Sir Robin), Tyler Nanstad (King Arthur), Brannan Drowatzky (Sir Lancelot), and Logan Haws (Patsy); Outstanding Supporting Performance: Zach Iniguez (Prince Herbert), Tanner Kuehmichel (Herbert’s Father), Michael Maggitti (French Taunter), Rian Vehrs (Dennis/Sir Galahad), Brandon Koran (Black Knight), and McKensey Koran (The Head Knight Who Says ‘Ni’); also, Outstanding Stage Manager nomination for Samantha Peterson. In addition, the performance received nominations for Outstanding Choreography, Scenic Design, Costumes, Director and Music Director.
